More Money Articles For The Stats Oriented

I know my posting frequency has been terrible lately. I'm a bad citizen of the blogosphere and you should all boycott me. I'll still post anyways.

Getting to the point, though, I've come across some more great personal finance related resources, once again brought to us by the kind folks at GetRichSlowly. These pertain to debt (booooo), but they're all about liberating yourself from it (yeeaaaaaaaaaa!)

  1. Latte Factor - this one describes reducing your BIG expenses (car, rent, etc) by a little rather than your little expenses (coffee, movies, fun.... the 'latte' factor). You can achieve the same result and do it automatically because you choose lower cost 'contract' items (like rent, which you pay once every month anyway and which are a giant hassle to change) rather than the impulse items (which you spend money on to relieve stress and make yourself happy, meaning you will break your deprivation-savings habit as soon as something goes wrong). Nice charts and real numbers make this one a real gem.

  2. Mind Factor - this one from CleverDude is about how debt can prey on your mind and stress you out ruthlessly. His focus is on PLANNING, which is a favourite strategy of mine.
Anyway, just a few I thought you'd like to read up on. Peace out till next time.

Posting will likely be sparse as time counts down to the wedding.
