The Mines Have Fires...

Morgan and Lindsay and I went to see "The Hills Have Eyes" this weekend. It was pretty good - definitely a Wes Craven movie. And I didn't know it was a remake.....

Anyway, the movie featured an abandoned mining town in the middle of the desert - very scary!

Check out this story about an abandoned town in Pensylvania! Not as scary, but definitely interesting.

Weird English

It's funny, but in software, Internationalization and Localization (and sometimes Globalization) pretty much refer to the same thing - making a product usable in multiple languages.

This article has some great ideas for keeping your Mac ultra secure. Though unless you REALLY need super security, the standard admin->sudo setup is probably sufficient.

Microsoft Enhanced for her pleasure

Wil Shipley is the shizzat when it comes to developing great software, and he's the king conqueror with personal media libraries (damnit!) - and as it turns out, he's also an astute and hilarious entertainment appliance critic. Who knew?

Follow the link for the best example of why Microsoft bashing is usually ok. (despite what the hippies tell you)

Sweet Sweet Relief

Final Fantasy 12 - finally, after 3 years of delays and postponements, you're finally being released into the wild.

I might have to go pick up a PS2 so I can play this game. (They are getting pretty cheap now, but that would probably kill any DS/Revolution budget I might have hoped to have... we'll see)

It's probably still 'stealing' but at least we can be assured it's legitimate stealing. Here in Canada it is, anyay.
